Our Purpose
The purpose of Faith Presbyterian Church is to encourage people to pursue a life long relationship with Christ Jesus.
Our History
On February 25, 1957, Dr James R Neale, Jr conducted the first woship service of this church in the Melrose Women's Club building with three families. By July 19, 1959, there were 26 members. Neale Hall was built in 1964 on land donatedby Mr and Mrs W A Wallace with a loan from Presbytery and support from Palatka Presbyterian Church. On Thanksgiving Sunday, November 23, 1975, we worshiped for the first time in our present sanctuary. Dr Neale retired in December of 1985 and died in December of 2000. Dr James R Neale is Minister Emeritus of Faith Presbyterian Church, Melrose, Florida.
The Rev Richard G Smith served as Interim Minister from January, 1985, to June, 1987.
Dr Michael C Cravel served our our first full time minister from July, 1987, through November, 1989.
The Rev Melana T Scruggs served as Interim Minister from December, 1989, to July, 1990, when she became Stated Supply. On December 8, 1991, she became full time until December, 2000.
The Rev Richard G Smith returned as Interim Minister from January, 2001, to August, 2002.
Our present minister, the Rev Marc R Jones, accepted our call in September, 2002.
